Permanent Tattoo Today, Removable Tattoo Tomorrow

Freedom2 is a Manhattan based company founded nearly ten years ago on a crazy idea that a permanent tattoo should also be a removable tattoo.

Typical tattoo ink is made from insoluble pigments and remains in the skin forever. Laser treatments can be costly and painful, and ultimately might not even remove tattoo ink completely. Thinking that there’s got to be a better alternative, Freedom2 began pursuing the idea of making permanent tattoos that are also easy, and less expensive to remove.

Infintink is the first and only easy to remove tattoo ink using an advanced scientific technology (Particle Encapsulation and Enhancement (P2E) Platform) of encapsulating the tattoo ink inside microscopic plastic beads.  The tiny transparent ink beads trap the colors inside, but a single laser tattoo removal treatment cracks the protective capsules, causing the non toxic ink to release into the body, for further breakdown and removal.

Tattooing with Infintink is similar to tattooing with other permanent tattoo inks, the only difference being Infinitink embraces the foresight technology of easy tattoo removal.  New removable tattoo ink application uses the same technique of inserting ink pigments into the skin with a needle, just like normal tattooing, and are permanent unless you change your mind.

A Fortune Small Business feature The Next Little Thing –10 big Ideas in 2007 reports Infinitink costs an average $1,000 for one laser treatment to remove in comparison to the $5000 to $10,000 it costs for numerous treatments to remove conventional tattoos.  In addition, Freedom-2 expects the new removable tattoo ink to cost four times the price of standard ink.

Today all tattoos are permanent, and soon all will be removable thanks to Freedom 2 new easy to remove tattoo ink.

Different Ways to Remove Different Colors of Tattoo Ink

There are different ways to remove tattoo ink.  Tattoo ink removal can occur by working to fade away the appearance of the tattoo from the surface of the skin.  Or a different approach to remove tattoo ink works within the skin, by breaking apart large beads of ink logged in the skin into smaller ink particles that are removed away by the body naturally.

Laser tattoo removal works to remove tattoo ink using the second approach of breaking apart ink in the skin.  Laser tattoo removal uses beams of light energy to pass through the top layers of the skin, in order to target a particular tattoo ink color within the skin.  Lasers only able to target certain colors, and are not effective at removing all tattoo ink colors.  Some tattoo ink colors are too similar in color to skin tones, making them difficult to detect and target for removal.

WreckingBalm® tattoo removal works to remove tattoo ink using both surface fading and within the skin approaches.  Wrecking Balm® works to remove all tattoo ink colors.  Wrecking balm removes tattoos on the surface of the skin, as well as by working down lower in the skin to break apart large tattoo ink particles into smaller pieces that are removed by the body naturally.

Lasers work particularly well to remove tattoo inks professional tattoo artists have tattooed, as the ink is more apt to be at the same depth in the skin.  All black tattoos remove well with lasers because the ink is such contrast to skin tones.

Examples of tattoo ink colors lasers are not easy to remove with lasers are green, yellows, oranges, and some red inks.  However WreckingBalm® works well to remove these tattoo inks because it is not targeting a specific color it is removing all colors.

That’s why different ways to remove tattoo ink are often used in together to achieve the best tattoo removal result.

More Reasons to Remove Tattoos

New affordable tattoo removal is expanding the reasons people are removing tattoos.  In the past, only the most adverse tattoos were contenders for tattoo removal, such as gang tattoos, seriously messed up tattoos, and the shameful ex’s name tattoos.  Today, affordable tattoo removal options have more and more people finding reasons to remove tattoos.

Of course name tattoos are still at the top of the “reasons to remove tattoo list.”  Think about it, we’ve all been in relationships that didn’t work out, and just imagine the pain and humility of looking at a constant reminder of your ex’s name tattoo everyday.  It would literally suck.  And, even though name tattoos do not make sense to many of us; wanting to remove a tattoo of an ex’s name makes complete sense.

Fading tattoos are appearing as new reasons to remove old tattoos.  Tattoos that naturally fade and look unattractive because of poor quality of tattoo placement, ink, and excessive sun exposure are signing up for tattoo removal.

More new moms and dads with tattoos are getting tattoo removal to avoid children growing up and seeing their tattoo.  Another reason mothers remove tattoos are to remove tattoos that stretched and distorted during pregnancy.

Way Doctors are Lowering the Cost of Tattoo Removal

Tattoo removal is something that most people think of as being very expensive, therefore it is an expense they must plan, save for, and budget into their finances.  Then there are others that think the cost of tattoo removal is too expensive and should be similar to the price of getting a tattoo.  Many of these people cannot justify the cost of tattoo removal, so they choose to live with a tattoo they regret and want to remove.

While, the process to remove a tattoo is definitely not as easy as some people think, the price to remove a tattoo does not have to be as expensive as people think; there is a way for doctors to lower the cost of tattoo removal.

The cost of tattoo removal with lasers is an expensive process on its own.  The unknown cost of an unknown number of laser treatments, performed by a physician supervised medical professional, has laser treatments averaging $200-400 per session.  If all of these factors make laser tattoo removal appear expensive, that is because laser usually is expensive.

But new research of home tattoo removal products results in a way to safely and effectively speed up the process to remove tattoos, improve the final removal results, and at the same time lower the cost of tattoo removal with lasers.

The latest development is a combination tattoo removal approach of home tattoo removal mixed with laser tattoo removal.  Combining lasers with home tattoo removal makes the cost to remove tattoos more affordable by reducing number of expensive laser treatments needed to effectively remove tattoos.

Doctors are suggesting patients use a home tattoo removal product such as WreckingBalm to pre fade tattoos before initial laser treatment, to help reduce the overall amount of scar tissue that occurs from laser treatments, as well as to effectively remove the tattoo pigment colors that lasers are not able to target and remove.

Patients benefit from the lower cost of tattoo removal, a reduction in the number of painful laser treatments, fewer appointments and schedule conflicts, as well as faster and more complete tattoo removal results.

Doctors benefit from having more patients satisfied with their tattoo removal experience that then tell more friends and family about their laser doctor’s lower cost tattoo removal.  The combination approach of home tattoo removal with lasers offers a way to lower the cost of tattoo removal so more people can stop saving and planning to remove tattoos, and can actually afford the cost to start removing tattoos.

The Pain and Hurt of Laser Tattoo Removal

Yes, the technology is sophisticated, brilliant, advanced, and for many effective, yet the reality of laser tattoo removal still exists…  laser tattoo removal hurts.

When it comes to laser tattoo removal; it’s is easier said than done.   People like to compare the feeling of tattoo removal to the experience of getting a tattoo, however there is a big difference.  Getting a tattoo requires having to endure one not so relaxing session, while laser tattoo removal requires multiple sessions of pain, each as painful as the treatment before.

Of course everyone’s idea of what “hurts” differs, but overall the general concensus across the board is that laser tattoo removal hurts.   Aside from individual levels of pain tolerance, there are some tattoos that actually do hurt more during laser tattoo removal than others.  Ironically, tattoos done by professional tattoo artists v.s. amateur artist can hurt more to remove with laser treatments because the tattoo ink is deeper in the skin.

Another factor that can impact how much laser tattoo removal hurts is the actual substance the tattoo ink is made of due to the chemical reaction that results from intense laser energy.

But the true “ouch” test of how much laser tattoo removal hurts comes when the old hand is placed on the wallet.  The people seemingly unaffected by the painful sting and burn of powerful lasers zaps are usually the people that experience real pain in their pocketbooks when it comes to paying the expensive price of laser tattoo removal.

Ouch is right when it comes to how much laser tattoo removal hurts.

Two Types of Tattoo Removal Men

Men are not created equal, except for when it comes to tattoos.  When it comes to tattoos there are two types of men — the serious tattoo men and the spontaneous tattoo men.   However, when it comes to tattoo removal men are one in the same; meaning both serious tattoo men and spontaneous tattoo men have reasons for tattoo removal.

Serious tattoo men take extreme caution and give deep thought to the selection process of tattoos.  Serious tattoo men often spend hours upon hours researching tattoo meanings in order to find the perfect tattoos to represent the connection and meaning they want to symbolize.

Then there are the spontaneous tattoo men.  These men are what most would call extremely laid back about the tattoo selection process.   Many of these men may have been wanting to get a tattoo for a while, but most of them have never really gave any thought as to why they want a tattoo.  Spontaneous men find themselves getting tattoos based on how tattoos look rather than the meaning of tattoo designs.

It’s only natural to think of tattoo removal being more common with spontaneous tattoos rather than serious tattoos with deep meanings.  Yet, when it comes to men getting tattoo removal, both serious and spontaneous men have their reasons.

Even though the tattoo ink was intended to be as permanent as the meaning of the tattoo, life happens, people change, meanings fade away, and tattoo removal is called for.

So when it comes to tattoo removal, all men have similar reasons for wanting to remove tattoos.

One Thing Definite About Tattoos

hmm... so about tattoos

There are certainly many reasons why people get tattoos.  However there’s one thing for certain about getting tattoos people definitely should know, tattoos are permanent.  That’s right; getting a tattoo means you and your tattoo for the rest of your life.  Although, these days many people are getting tattoo removal, so maybe permanent tattoos are not so definite after all.

Surely, most people still view tattoos as being permanent, so therefore they must consider the permanency of “permanent ink” before getting tattooed… one would think.  And, certainly everyone knows tattoo removal may be achievable, but removing a tattoo is definitely not something easily achieved.

Of course the entire purpose of getting tattoo removal is to remove the entire tattoo.  Ironicly, laser tattoo removal is the most popular way of removing tattoos despite the fact that lasers do not entirely remove all tattoo colors.

And, one thing that’s not so clear when it comes to tattoos is whether or not it is unfair to criticize people for getting tattoos simply as a means of body art.  Naturally, someone that wants to get a permanent tattoo on his or her body for life, clearly wants to get a tattoo that looks good.

It’s obvious a meaningful tattoo is definitely more permanent than an artless tattoo; meaning when someone gets a tattoo image of something signficant in meaning, he or she is more likely to continue enjoying the tattoo forever, compared to getting a meaningless tattoo of something trendy and without personal significants.

Tattoo Removal is Green with Eco-Envy

When it comes to tattoo removal, the first thing that comes to most people’s minds is usually laser removal.  And would you believe the next thing on people’s minds is being green?  Well, its true.  People are becoming mindful about how green and eco-friendly laser tattoo removal is.  And this just goes to show the world is becoming green with eco-envy in the most unexpected places.

During the process of removing tattoos with lasers, doctors must monitor the temperature of the skin to prevent laser radiation from heating it too much.  If laser radiation heats tattooed skin above 70 degrees, it can cause serious tissue damage and scarring.

In order to minimize excessive heating of the skin laser technology is designed with an extremely cold chemical liquid called Tetrafluoroethane, that helps doctors maintain skin cooling while performing laser tattoo removal.

The problem with tetrafluoroethane, it is also a greenhouse gas that is worse for the environment than carbon dioxide.

The green revolution has the world opening its eyes, focusing on the smaller elements that add up to create the big picture.  And tattoo removal, is just one more process that has been revisited and is now becoming green.

Laser doctors are easing their eco consciences by changing over to a carbon-dioxide sprays essentially dry ice, that accomplishes the same cooling job as the old anti-green gas, and at the same time reduces the negative impact laser tattoo removal has on the environment.

Now people with the tattoo remorse, can pursue tattoo removal with a clear, clean conscience, knowing that they are removing their tattoo regret in a green eco-friendly fashion.  And this has everyone green with envy.
