The Pain and Hurt of Laser Tattoo Removal

Yes, the technology is sophisticated, brilliant, advanced, and for many effective, yet the reality of laser tattoo removal still exists…  laser tattoo removal hurts.

When it comes to laser tattoo removal; it’s is easier said than done.   People like to compare the feeling of tattoo removal to the experience of getting a tattoo, however there is a big difference.  Getting a tattoo requires having to endure one not so relaxing session, while laser tattoo removal requires multiple sessions of pain, each as painful as the treatment before.

Of course everyone’s idea of what “hurts” differs, but overall the general concensus across the board is that laser tattoo removal hurts.   Aside from individual levels of pain tolerance, there are some tattoos that actually do hurt more during laser tattoo removal than others.  Ironically, tattoos done by professional tattoo artists v.s. amateur artist can hurt more to remove with laser treatments because the tattoo ink is deeper in the skin.

Another factor that can impact how much laser tattoo removal hurts is the actual substance the tattoo ink is made of due to the chemical reaction that results from intense laser energy.

But the true “ouch” test of how much laser tattoo removal hurts comes when the old hand is placed on the wallet.  The people seemingly unaffected by the painful sting and burn of powerful lasers zaps are usually the people that experience real pain in their pocketbooks when it comes to paying the expensive price of laser tattoo removal.

Ouch is right when it comes to how much laser tattoo removal hurts.

Well-Known Tattoo Removal Options

I have options?

In good judgment tattoos are beautiful designs of artwork, yet in poor judgment tattoos are unsightly displays that lack reasoning. Thankfully, there are different tattoo removal options available that are well-known options to remove tattoos within reason.

Here are some well-known tattoo removal options available to remove tattoos.

Laser Tattoo Removal and Intense Pulse Light represent two of the newest tattoo removal options available.  The option of using lasers for tattoo removal developed for the most part during the last 10 years.

Pulses of specific laser lights are used to target tattoo ink pigments that over time and several treatment sessions, work to breakdown the tattoo design and remove the ink.  Laser is an option of tattoo removal that is popular and unpopular, popular for being a reasonably effective removal option and unpopular for being both a highly uncomfortable and expensive method of tattoo removal.

Surgical Tattoo Removal or Excision involves cutting the outline of the tattoo out of the skin, then stitching the remaining skin back together.  This tattoo removal option is ideal for very small tattoos.  The trade off of removing tattoos with surgical tattoo removal is trading a tattoo for a scar.

Tattoo Cover Up is an alternative option of tattoo removal that actually does not involve the removal of tattoos, but rather covering up tattoos with another tattoo.  This method of tattoo removal is an option for people that like having a tattoo just don’t like the tattoo they have.  Cover up tattoo designs must be reasonably darker than the existing unwanted tattoo as they literally are tattoos to cover up tattoos.

Tattoo Removal Balm or Tattoo Fade Cream is another tattoo removal option available for people looking for alternatives to surgical and laser tattoo removal.  Tattoo removal balm and tattoo fade creams are reasonable and affordable tattoo removal options without the pain and hassle of multiple appointments, expensive doctor’s bills, and actual treatment pain. Tattoo fading creams and removal balm breakdown tattoo ink within the skin cells using the body’s natural renewal process for healthy, new, ink free skin.

Two Types of Tattoo Removal Men

Men are not created equal, except for when it comes to tattoos.  When it comes to tattoos there are two types of men — the serious tattoo men and the spontaneous tattoo men.   However, when it comes to tattoo removal men are one in the same; meaning both serious tattoo men and spontaneous tattoo men have reasons for tattoo removal.

Serious tattoo men take extreme caution and give deep thought to the selection process of tattoos.  Serious tattoo men often spend hours upon hours researching tattoo meanings in order to find the perfect tattoos to represent the connection and meaning they want to symbolize.

Then there are the spontaneous tattoo men.  These men are what most would call extremely laid back about the tattoo selection process.   Many of these men may have been wanting to get a tattoo for a while, but most of them have never really gave any thought as to why they want a tattoo.  Spontaneous men find themselves getting tattoos based on how tattoos look rather than the meaning of tattoo designs.

It’s only natural to think of tattoo removal being more common with spontaneous tattoos rather than serious tattoos with deep meanings.  Yet, when it comes to men getting tattoo removal, both serious and spontaneous men have their reasons.

Even though the tattoo ink was intended to be as permanent as the meaning of the tattoo, life happens, people change, meanings fade away, and tattoo removal is called for.

So when it comes to tattoo removal, all men have similar reasons for wanting to remove tattoos.

Pamela Anderson’s Says Good Bye to Her Famous Tattoos with Removal

Pamela Anderson is a famous celebrity model and actress who has achieved extraordinary fame sticking to her own philosophy and principles.  Pamela has navigated her way through the false-hearted world of being a famous female celebrity, and a tumultuous love life by taking chances and battling heartache.  Yet through it all Pamela Anderson remains a woman of fortitude with no regrets.  Well, maybe a little tattoo regret.

It seems Pamela Anderson is considering tattoo removal to remove a few regrettable tattoos she has collected along the way.  And, the reason the 40-year-old female celebrity actress wants tattoo removal in order to remove tattoos before they start becoming an “eyesore.”

Despite the rumors of the reason for Pamela Anderson’s tattoo removal on her arm (famous barbwire tattoo) and back tattoos, she is not removing tattoos because she wants to be a good mom now.  The truth is, Pamela Anderson believes she’s always been a good mom, and people with tattoos aren’t any less of parents for having tattoos.

Even though she’s a famous celebrity the reason for Pamela Anderson’s tattoo removal is the same reason many women regret tattoos—gravity.  And, maybe a little sex, drugs, and rock n roll regret too.

Easy Come Easy Go Tattoos and Removal

With the ambush of tattoo newcomers and artists, comes an increase demand to fade away and remove tattoos.  It seems as the number of people getting tattoos continues to increase, so to does the number of people getting tattoo removal, which is a tattoo trend apparently of the philosophy “easy come, easy go.”

US News & World Report says there are more than 20,000 tattoo parlors operating in the United States, and on the average a new parlor is opening every day.

According to an interesting New York Time report, there are currently about 45 million Americans with tattoos; however 17 percent later have tattoo regret as life changes.

Some reasons people look for easy tattoo removal include:

· Wanting to remove tattoo of ex-fiancé’s name
· Brides to be who do not want tattoos to show in wedding gown
· Wanting to remove tattoos for a fresh start to look more employable or to appear better suited for marriage
· And to free up valuable skin real estate in order to get cover up tattoos to replace old tattoos

Easy come; easy go so it goes for the tattoo and tattoo removal trend anyway.

Ways to Avoid Tattoo Removal

Outgrowing a tattoo is not the first thing most people are thinking about once they finally decide to get one.  But before you get a tattoo it is smart to consider common reasons that cause tattoo regret that then leads to tattoo removal.

Tattoo suggestions to avoid tattoo removal:

· Getting a tattoo that has no personal meaning behind it
· Getting a tattoo name of your current love interest
· Getting gang tattoos or any other tattoos for initiation
· Tattoos that results from peer pressure, or being under the influence of alcohol, or drugs, or all of the above which all lead easily to tattoo removal down the road.

Another consideration before getting a tattoo to avoid tattoo removal is visualizing how a tattoo might impact your lifestyle or career path.  Although it’s unfair, it’s a reality that people will see you differently if you have a tattoo they can see.   So it’s important to not only select a tattoo design with meaning but also to wisely select the body location you get tattooed.

Popular places men get tattoos are on arms, shoulders, upper backs, and calves.  While the most popular places for women tattoos are lower backs, bikini lines, and ankles.

Not surprising both men and women find the most painful areas to tattoo are behind the knees, between the toes, along the spine, inner arms, middle of sternum, and the top of hands and feet. And the least painful tattoo areas to be outer part of forearms, shoulders, and the ever so padded buttocks.

Getting a tattoo can be a defining decision as well as a defining mistake.  Give the idea of getting a tattoo careful consideration to avoid getting a tattoo that is destine to end in regret and tattoo removal.

Female Tattoos- Pretty in Ink or Just Pretty Inked Up?

The Suicide Girls are a group of tattoo girls that blow away the classic stigma of female tattoos. You won’t find these girls with just a few cute tiny tattoos on their ankles and wrists.  No, these female tattoos are old school, Sailor Jerry girls all the way that are hardcore pretty inked up women.

The Suicide Girls, a web site that débuted in 2001, was co-created by Missy and Sean Suicide of Portland, OR.  Since the debut, the Suicide Girls site has grown, and now boast a militia of 1,000 plus unconventional models – who all pay tribute to the classic art of pin-up girls with the idea of changing the image of tattoos and what makes women beautiful.

But are the Suicide Girls really changing the view of women with tattoos or adding truth to the age-old stigma of female tattoos?

And, don’t think for a second the Suicide Girls didn’t start a growing tattoo trend among women.  That’s right these girls are not the only tattoo divas in town.  A simple online search of “girl tattoos” will lead you straight to Burning Angels, Inky Girls, Deviant Nation, and Rock Star Pixies — all popular tattoo web sites exploiting tattoo skin of women and their lifestyles.

It seems the Suicide Girls and the others like them are giving off exactly the opposite message about female tattoos that many women with tattoos have been defending, or perhaps they are not.

Regardless of the growing number of women revealing tattoos, and the message the tattoos are giving off there is still a stigma about tattoos, especially female tattoos that continues to cause tattoo regret and tattoo removal for many women later in life.
