Rib Tattoos Remove Tramp Stamp Tattoo Trend

The economy may be heading in the wrong direction, but that doesn’t mean tattoos are, especially women tattoos.  These days tattoos are looking up, or rather moving up for women.  The new rising tattoo trend has women removing tattoo “stamps” on their lower backs, and opting for the new sexy tattoo trend — Rib Tattoos.

Almost as soon as the derogatory, sexually humiliating term “tramp stamp” reared women with lower back tattoos began getting tattoo removal and trading in their tainted tattoos for new sexy rib tattoos that crawl up the side of their bodies.

Today’s weak economy is changing the tattoo industry in terms of women’s tattoo trends.  Although, the rate of women getting their first tattoos doesn’t seem to be decreasing, the amount of money women are spending on their tattoos is.

Other emerging tattoo trends for women are celebrity name tattoos, especially popular these days Nicole Richie rosaries; vintage American tattoos such as skulls, hearts, stars, and anchors; Japanese (koi fish, ocean waves) styles; as well as a swing from English-style block lettering to fancier script letters.

Expect many women to follow the celebrity tattoo trends of Megan Fox and her rib cage tattoo with the words “There once was a little girl who never knew love until a boy broke her HEART” until someone creates a derogatory, sexually humiliating term for women rib cage tattoos like “Ho handle.”

Trashy Tattoos or People Trashing Tattoos

Let’s talk trash about the issue of trashy tattoos and people.  The usual way of thinking when it comes to people without tattoos is that they think people with tattoos are trashy.

Almost everyone has a tattoo these days and anyone can be trashy.  So the real truth is.. tattoos don’t make people look trashy, people make tattoos look trashy.

The stereotype typical of “trashy” people is little class, foul mouthed, no (or missing) teeth, uncouth, rude, tattooed folk.  Trashy people are especially keen on big hair, mullets, sleeveless T-shirts, skimpy cut off shirts, acid wash or black jeans, visible thong underwear, and tattoos.

Trashy people are depicted as having three or more yard cars, a RV up on cement blocks, a half dozen huntin’ hounds, attack chickens, and an unusual fondness for NASCAR, their siblings, and tastless, trashy tattoos.

Here’s the catch-22; trashy people are blatantly attracted to tattoos, and the tackier and trasher the tattoo the better.  Trashy women see their bodies as being better looking than they really are.  Therefore these dames expose a lot of skin wearing skimpy clothes all to draw attention to their tasteless tattoos.  And trashy men, they usually get their own names tattooed on their arms, just so they don’t forget it after drinkin one to many Bud Pound-das.

Take a look at the couple in this photo.  Now here is a classic example of a trashy couple.  Mullet, tacky fishing T-shirt with cut off sleeves, with the macho manly message to the world that “he’s a dude that don’t take nothing from no one.”

And hanging off his hip, the little lady herself…his trashy bride.  Black bra strap off the shoulder, pregnant, probably barefoot (can’t tell by the photo), and missing her front tooth.  The only thing missing in this picture are trashy tattoos… the Disney cartoon characters, the tattoos of favorite NASCAR racecar numbers, or tattoos of her second ex husband’s name.

Yes, it seems these trashy specimens of people are trashy even without tattoos.  Again, the bottom line here is nearly everyone these days has a tattoo and ANYONE can be trashy.

Someone can be filthy rich, without a single tattoo, and still be a piece of trash, just as someone can live paycheck to paycheck covered in tattoos and still be classy.  It’s not about the tattoos its about the person.  Tattoos can be discerning and discrete or brassy and bold depending on whether the person with tattoos is of class or of trash.

View of Tattoo Ink and Skin

You may be wondering, if skin continually renews itself naturally in a cycle, and old skin cells die and shed off and are replaced with new skin cells, why than wouldn’t a tattoo remove View of Tattoo Ink in Skinnaturally through skin cell turn over and shedding?

The answer to why tattoos are so permanent has to do with ink depth, placement, and make up.  The reason tattoos do not shed away altogether from skin with the body’s natural skin cycle process has much to do with the depth of the tattoo ink placement.

Human skin has two principal sections: the Epidermis and the Dermis.

The epidermis is the outer, much thinner section of the two and is made up of four or five sub layers.  These sub layers in the epidermis are where the skin cell renewal cycle primarily occurs.

The dermis is the deepest section of the skin, which is made up of two portions: the upper papillary region and the underlying reticular region.

Tattoos are created with the intention of inserting ink down into the dermis, where skin cells shed at a much slower rate than the epidermis layers closer to the surface thus explaining why tattoos can remain in the skin a lifetime.

Professional tattoos use proper tools and techniques that embed ink pigments deep into the skin.  Professionally tattooed artwork lies between the epidermis and dermis of the skin and is surrounded by the skin’s tough cellular matrix.  This tough cellular matrix is resilient against breakdown, so the tattoo remains in place.

Amateur tattoos on the other hand, do not use the same professional techniques that force ink pigment deep into the skin.  Amateur tattoos tend to fade overtime because ink is not securely embedded between the dermis and epidermis, but rather some ink exists in the epidermis.

The tattoo ink pigment that doesn’t make it through the epidermis begins to fade as the skin cells go through cellular renewal process, and shed off the surface of the skin.
