Two Types of Tattoo Removal Men

Men are not created equal, except for when it comes to tattoos.  When it comes to tattoos there are two types of men — the serious tattoo men and the spontaneous tattoo men.   However, when it comes to tattoo removal men are one in the same; meaning both serious tattoo men and spontaneous tattoo men have reasons for tattoo removal.

Serious tattoo men take extreme caution and give deep thought to the selection process of tattoos.  Serious tattoo men often spend hours upon hours researching tattoo meanings in order to find the perfect tattoos to represent the connection and meaning they want to symbolize.

Then there are the spontaneous tattoo men.  These men are what most would call extremely laid back about the tattoo selection process.   Many of these men may have been wanting to get a tattoo for a while, but most of them have never really gave any thought as to why they want a tattoo.  Spontaneous men find themselves getting tattoos based on how tattoos look rather than the meaning of tattoo designs.

It’s only natural to think of tattoo removal being more common with spontaneous tattoos rather than serious tattoos with deep meanings.  Yet, when it comes to men getting tattoo removal, both serious and spontaneous men have their reasons.

Even though the tattoo ink was intended to be as permanent as the meaning of the tattoo, life happens, people change, meanings fade away, and tattoo removal is called for.

So when it comes to tattoo removal, all men have similar reasons for wanting to remove tattoos.

As a tattoo artist, I find that the true collectors, the ones that you wind up covering and smothering with tattoos, rarely started there tattoo collection that way. Most started with that first, or first five, that they thought about for years and waited untill they were sure they wanted that and that it would hold meaning to them forever. However, once they cross that line from tattoo customer to a real tattoo collector, its those first tattoos that they wind up the bane of there tattoo experience. those are the tattoos that wouldnt budge on design composition when the artist told made suggestions to change it. Its that kind of customer pig headedness, which stems from no more than a lack of information about the art form and the people who do it, that leads to (in my experience) people who you would call “serious tattoo men” getting tattoos that wind up getting removed later in life. Spontanious tattoo decisions and letting your artist do what he does best has always been a pretty stead fast way to get a good tattoo. A tattoo that gets the point across while remaining true to the reason for getting a tattoo in the first place. Cause they’re rad. the look cool, and they make you look cool. If that wasnt the point you could just commision a painting of that R.I.P Donnie or that heart and banner. Whatever your reason for getting your tattoo or however you come to the decision to get it, the best way to ensure your not gonna’ want to remove it later is to just find an artist who’s a reputable and responsable person. The proof is always in the portfolio. Thanks.

    Hey Mike,

Thanks for your feedback! When you look at tattoo design from your prospective it is easy to see your point. You are so dead on about the importance of finding a reputable, responsable tattoo artist with a extensive portfolio of work when it comes to getting good quality tattoos.

    Thanks for the input!!!!

Color me spontaneous. I think some of the serious guys take is a bit far. I work in the corporate sector so I guess I am a but conservative.

Still when it comes to tattoo removal, I guess the similarities hold up.
